I was born and raised in Denmark. I came to the US in my twenties and it was tough to adjust to a new culture, new language and new way of living. However, leaving my comfort zone was one of the best decisions I made and taught me a lot about myself. Especially, that happiness always comes from within and can never be fulfilled by others.
I have been there: anxiety, depression, anger, and felt so stuck in life that I never thought I would get out. I have been through domestic violence, divorce, co-parenting, medical problems, second marriage, and raising 3 amazing girls who have taught me so much about patience, gratitude, and allowing people to be who they are.
Being a human on this earth is not easy and our emotions often runs off with us. However, if we truly listen to our own needs and inner guidance, we know how to find our way. Once we BELIEVE that we are worthy of the gifts we have in life, we can create anything we want.
Since I was a child, I wanted to help people. I was very intrigued about relationships, what made them work and what didn't make them work. As a result, I because a licensed mental health counselor and marriage and family therapy, because I realized that we can't just change one thing without affecting change all around us.
In order to change and achieve true fulfillment in almost any moment in life, requires a pivot in our thinking. We are not brought up in a society that facilitates these learnings and it many times go against what makes sense logically.
But I'm telling you, once you experience peace of mind and starting to create the life you want, little by little, it feels amazing. Life becomes fun, exciting, and interesting because you are now in charge!
I'm not here to tell you what to do. I'm here to motivate, guide, and inspire you to dig deep into what you already know. Together we will discover all the layers and nuances of your amazing soul that will facilitate healings and awareness on mental, emotional, and spiritual levels.
Most people have not been taught how to be kind to themselves, how to take real breaks, and how to manage their emotions in a way we don't project them onto others. We use people pleasing or bullying to defend ourselves, which gives us more of what we don't want. I know how to break this cycle and teach you the language that was not taught in schools: self-love and emotional intelligence.
I will help you get still in your life and be comfortable sitting in quiet so you can hear the softness and power of your own being. This will help decrease anxiety, depression, confusion, and allow yourself to finally celebrate your purpose in life. You deserve it!
